Program Descriptions:

La Crosse Montessori Preschool is licensed by the state of Wisconsin. We offer 3 specific programs. Each program has a registration form and has separate tuition and fees.

1.Classroom

The classroom provides child/teacher interactions using Montessori methods and materials. Once a week, a music specialist provides small group instruction. A daily snack is provided in which the children are taught to prepare and serve themselves. The daily session ends with a group activity led by a teacher. Parents have a choice between two sessions. The morning session is from 8:30 am – 11:00 am and the afternoon session is from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm. Throughout the school year we have parent readers, field trips, and seasonal celebrations.

2.Noon Care

This is a lunch program that will provide supervised lunch and play activities from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Noon care is available whether your child attends the morning session or the afternoon session. The children must bring their own lunch. There are many materials and art activities provided. Parents can contract at a reduced rate or can sign up for drop-in by purchasing a punch card.

3.Extended Day

This program is for children who attend the classroom Montessori program, and will be attending kindergarten the following Fall. The Extended Day program is from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Monday and Tuesdays throughout the school year. Children bring their lunch and eat with the extended day teacher. The teacher then works on unit projects with the children. Limited to 6 students.
